খিচুনি কি ?

রক্ত প্রধান ছেলে মেয়েদের দাত উঠিবার সময় প্রবল জ্বরের সহিত আক্ষেপ,সর্বশরীর অত্যান্ত শুস্ক ও উত্তপ্ত, রোগী তাহার হাত মুঠি করিয়া ক্রমাগত কামড়াইতে থাকে ও অস্হির ভাবে ক্রন্দন করিতে থাকে। হঠাৎ কোন ভয় পাইয়া আক্ষেপ।

দাত উঠিবার সময় আক্ষেপ;ধমক খাইবার পর আক্ষেপ, কৃমি-জনিত আক্ষেপ, ছেলেমেয়েদের ক্রদ্ধ স্বভাব অথচ খাইতে পাইলেই শান্ত থাকে,খাদ্য-দ্রব্যের মধ্যে মিষ্ট দ্রব্যই ভালবাসে। সিনা রোগীর পানে কেহ চাহিলে অত্যান্ত বিরক্ত হয়;সর্বদাই নাক খুটিতে থাকে ইত্যাদি।
*ওপিয়াম
ভয় পাইয়া আক্ষেপ বা প্রসবকালীন আক্ষেপ,হাত মুঠি করিয়া মাথা চালিতে থাকে;গলার মধ্যে ঘড়ঘড় শব্দ, কোষ্ঠবদ্ধ ও মুত্ররোগ, গরম সহ্য করিতে পারে না, আক্ষেপের পর নিদ্রালুতা, নিদ্রাকালে নাসিকা ধ্বনি, শঙ্কিত, জননীর স্তন্যপান করিয়া শিশুদের আক্ষেপ।
*কুপ্রম মেট
আক্ষেপ নিম্নাঙ্গে সূত্রপাত হয় অর্থাৎ প্রথমেই হাতের আঙ্গুলও পায়ের আঙ্গুলে প্রকাশ পায়। আঙ্গুলগুলি ভিতর দিকে বাকিয়া যাইতে থাকে;কখনও কখনও হাত পা সজোরে গুটাইয়া লইয়া সজোর নিক্ষেপ করিতে থাকে। প্রসব কালে চোখে অন্ধকার দেখিয়া আক্ষেপ;আক্ষেপ কালে সময় সময় সাপের মতো জিহ্বা বাহির করতে থাকে।

ক্রুদ্ধ হইবার পর আক্ষেপ,ঋতুকালীন আক্ষেপ;প্রসব কালীন আক্ষেপ, অঙ্গ প্রতঙ্গ কাপিতে থাকে বা ভীষণ ভাবে বাকিয়া যাইতে থাকে;আক্ষেপ কালে জ্ঞান লোপ পায় না, আক্ষেপের অতিরিক্ত ক্রদ্ধ হইয়া উঠে।
*হাইওসিয়ামাস
ভয় পাইয়া বা কৃমি জনিত আক্ষেপ;সর্ব শরীরের মাংসপেশী কাপিয়া উঠিতে থাকে, চক্ষু ঠেলিয়া বাহির হইয়া আসে, অসারে মুত্র ত্যাগ, জননেন্দ্রিয় হইতে আবরণ খুলিয়া ফেলে।
*ক্যামোমিলা
কুদ্ধ জননীর স্তন্যপান করিয়া শিশুদের আক্ষেপ অথবা দাত উঠিবার সময় আক্ষেপ;শিশু সর্বদাই কোলে ইঠিয়া বেড়াইতে চায়, নিদ্রা কালে তাহার মুখে হাসি ফুটিয়া উঠে।
*জিঙ্কাম মেট
দুর্বল শিশুর দাত উঠিবার সময় আক্ষেপ, ঘুম ভাঙ্গিয়া শঙ্কিত দৃষ্টিতে তাকাইয়া আক্ষেপ, আক্ষেপকালে শরীরের দক্ষিণ দিকের মাংসপেশীগুলি বেশি আক্রান্ত হয় অর্থাৎকাপিতে থাকে বা নাচিয়া উঠিতে থাকে।
